
Alison Henry
Alison is the owner of Gheringhap Counselling Rooms. She is a Registered Counsellor with over 15 years experience across the Geelong and Surfcoast region. She sees clients from a variety of backgrounds with a wide range of life issues and challenges. Currently, Alison works only with individual clients over 17. She has recently completed training in Art Psychotherapy.
Areas of interest for Alison include grief and loss, preventing burnout, trauma recovery, spiritual wounding, anxiety and depression, OCD, body dysmorphia, and life-stage issues. She supports a number of NDIS clients with psychosocial disability. Whilst Alison specialises in supporting clients with a Christian faith, she also works respectfully with clients of any or no spiritual beliefs.
Alison provides clinical supervision to NDIS Support Coordinators, and workplace chaplains. She is passionate about small business owners being able to access affordable Employee Support counselling.
Alison also owns Surfcoast PD which provides personal and professional development to the Surfcoast, Greater Geeelong and Bellarine Peninsula regions. Together with Nicole Andrews, they have started the Torquay Grief & Loss community support group, donating their time to facilitate the group. Nicole Andrews
Nicole is a Registered Counsellor who works with individuals from a person centered-approach, using a variety of counselling modalities. She is passionate about helping others to be empowered by helping them to access their own strengths, to make changes, and to attain the growth that they seek. Nicole takes the time to work alongside clients at a pace that suits each person. Whether facing personal, emotional, or mental health struggles, Nicole provides a safe and supportive environment.
Nicole regularly works with NDIS clients with a psychosocial disability. She has a passion for assisting clients to work through their grief and loss, recognising that there are many different sources of grief throughout life.
Nicole is part of the SurfcoastPD team, as a co-facilitator of the Torquay Grief & Loss community support group, and as a co-presenter of seminars and workshops.
